How do I use Wirewize?

Simply search for the brands and models of your components in Wirewize's Product Search window. Once you find your model, you can either choose to find out more information about the product, or you can save the device in your System Locker. It is necessary to save devices to a System Locker when attempting to use Wirewize to connect your systems together, because the logic engines of the Cable Finder and Setup Wizard analyze the devices stored in each System Locker. Once all of your components are entered into the System Locker, you can the simply press the Cable Finder button, and Wirewize will determine the best cables to connect your system and display the results for you. You can also use the Setup Wizard, and Wirewize will provide you with specific instructions on connecting your products together. If there is a product manual available for your component, press the Product Manual tab. A PDF version of the product manual will be displayed so that you can learn the specific operational features of that given component. If you have multiple systems throughout your home, you can name them and save them separately, through Wirewize. They will all appear on the left hand side of the Wirewize Dashboard. Simply choose the system you want to work with at any given time, and that system will be available to you.

How does Wirewize decide which cables to recommend and what connections to use?

Wirewize utilizes two core components to provide accurate information: the Product Attribute Database and the Wirewize Logic Engine. The Product Attribute Database is a data repository of all of the information about a given device, using data provided by the device manufacturers themselves. Wirewize's Logic Engine performs an analysis of the devices entered into the System Locker. It looks at all of the attributes of these components, such as the types of inputs/outputs, product specifications, type of components, and much more. It then determines the cable types and connectivity scenarios necessary to achieve optimum picture and sound performance for each system. These results are then displayed so that the user can get connected quickly and accurately.
